Organic materials with a controlled particle size, used to clean the blades on the gas side of exhaust gas turbochargers on modern diesel engines. Natural solid granules (1.3–1.7 mm) give an effective mechanical “soft blast” clean without water, keeping the turbine efficient and extending the interval between maintenance services.
Blown by compressed air into the exhaust gas lines ahead of the turbocharger, using a mounted container with a cock/gate valve positioned at least 300 mm above the exhaust pipe flange (max. 1 m distance). For engines with multiple turbochargers, clean one at a time.
As a rule, clean every 24–48 hours of full-load operation.
Usually available in 25 kg bags.
