Combustion improver, carbon catalyst, ash modifier and smoke suppressant for diesel engines burning heavy fuel oil, and boilers.
Stabilises residual fuels and stops sludge formation, acting as a combustion improver, carbon catalyst, ash modifier and smoke suppressant for diesel engines burning heavy fuel oil, and for boilers.
Most efficiently dosed with a metering pump into the suction side of the booster pump (diesel engines) or the burner feed line (boilers). Can also be dosed directly into the day tank before refilling, or directly into the bunker tanks. A CCAI number above 840 signals poor fuel quality that justifies chemical treatment.
General guide: 1 L per 4500 L of heavy fuel oil, but this depends on Micro Carbon Residue (MCR) — test the fuel and follow the dosage chart. Typical rates range 1–2 L per 2000 L of fuel oil.
Usually available in 25 L steel drums.
