A polymeric additive that improves the cold-flow properties of middle distillates.
A polymeric additive containing ethylene vinyl ester polymers in higher-boiling hydrocarbons, used to improve the cold flow properties of middle distillates. It reduces both the Cold Filter Plugging Point (CFPP) and Pour Point of diesels and heavy fuel oils, cutting down unwanted wax formation and its accumulation risk.
Blend into the fuel at the recommended temperature — at least 5°C above the fuel's measured cloud point.
Typically 25–500 ppm depending on the middle distillate's characteristics, to reach the desired CFPP/Pour Point response; higher dosages up to 1000 ppm can be used within recommended blending conditions.
Usually available in 25 L steel drums.
