A specialised liquid product containing solvents, dispersants, emulsifiers and surface-active agents combined with a combustion improver, used on steam and motor vessels burning residual fuel oils. It disperses sludge, breaks water-in-oil emulsions, and makes residual fuel more homogeneous for better combustion, while also improving centrifugal separation, atomisation and injector spray pattern.
Only dose into the bunker after a compatibility test — done with Vecom's Test Kit Compa Dens Check. Dose directly into the bunker tank prior to bunkering; not recommended for the settling tank. Can also be used to gently reduce and disperse existing sludge from bunker tanks ahead of dry-docking, though an initial manual tank clean may still be needed depending on accumulation.
