A passivating liquid suitable only for austenitic stainless steel.
Used to passivate austenitic stainless steel installations and tanks after pickling, forming a passive oxide layer. Only suitable for austenitic stainless steel, and treatment can only take place on steel that has already been pickled.
Circulation method (mainly for pipelines): fill the pipeline with an undiluted solution mixed with water, circulate through a dedicated acid pump for about 2 hours, then drain and flush thoroughly with demineralised water. After drying, test passivity with Test Kit Oxilyser 3. Also usable by spraying or immersion bath. For cleaning aluminium specifically: dilute to 10% with water, treat for about 2 hours, then rinse thoroughly with demineralised water. The used product should always be neutralised before disposal.
Used undiluted for stainless steel passivation (~2 hours treatment); diluted to 10% for aluminium cleaning (~2 hours).
Usually available in 25 L plastic cans and 200 L plastic drums.
