Conditions hardness salts for blowdown; maintains optimum pH and alkalinity and prevents corrosion and scale build-up.
Alkalinity Control is part of Vecom's fully coordinated water treatment programme and should not be combined with a different treatment system. It is added to boiler water to keep alkalinity at the right level, which stops corrosion and prevents calcium and magnesium hardness salts from forming — any that do form can then be removed by blowdown.
For best results, dose it straight into the boiler through a Vecom by-pass pot feeder fitted in the boiler feed line.
For untreated water, start with 200 mL of Alkalinity Control per tonne of water, then fine-tune the dose against the recommended P- and M-alkalinity control limits.
Usually available in 25 L plastic cans and 200 L plastic drums.
