Prevents and treats bacteria growth in closed cooling water systems.
Bacteria Control is effective against bacteria and algae in cooling water or ballast water systems, and helps prevent microbiologically influenced corrosion (M.I.C.).
For an existing system, dose directly into the circulating water and allow to circulate for 24 hours before checking for bacterial growth. For a badly contaminated system, drain completely and refill with fresh distilled water first.
Initial dose is 0.7 L per tonne of water in the system. If bacterial growth is still present after the first treatment, repeat with 0.5 L per tonne. For badly contaminated systems: dose 0.7 L per tonne after refilling with distilled water, circulate 24–48 hours, then drain and refill again, dosing 0.5 L per tonne on the second fill.
Usually available in 25 L plastic cans. Note: use of this product is not permitted within the Netherlands.
