Conditions boilers and protects boiler pH, hardness scale, condensate pH and boiler coagulant. Suitable for boilers up to 35 bar.
Boiler Treat Combi is a liquid blend of low molecular weight components, neutralised organic acids, and corrosion, scale and sludge conditioners. It raises boiler water pH to levels (10.5–11.0) that minimise corrosion in boilers running 7–35 bar, and helps prevent under-deposit corrosion caused by excess hardness in conventional treatments. Its polymer technology also conditions hardness salts so the crystals that form are light, non-adherent, and stay in circulation until removed by blowdown.
Add directly to the feedwater via a dosing unit installed on the boiler feed line, after the return to the hot well. Can be dosed alongside Hydrazide (oxygen scavenger), depending on feedwater temperature, and Condensate Treat, depending on condensate system size and pH. A Vecom dosing pump/tank unit is strongly recommended. Never dose Alkalinity Control together with a combined treatment like this one — it will throw off the other elements.
Dosed at 0.4 L per m³ of boiler water. Allow the water to condition for 24 hours, then test P-alkalinity and adjust the dose to reach 100–150 ppm; check chloride at the same time and give a top-and-bottom blowdown if it's too high. A minimum of 0.2 L/day is needed to hold treatment levels, alongside regular blowdown — actual dose varies with boiler size and make-up water quality.
Usually supplied in 25 L plastic cans.
