Controls scale, hardness and alkalinity in low-pressure boilers via blowdown. Stocked by Vecom Marine Philippines.
Boiler Treat One Shot protects three elements of boiler water treatment in a low-pressure boiler: it prevents scale and hardness by conditioning particles for removal during blowdown, and its alkalinity component controls corrosion. For best results, pair it with Hydrazide as an oxygen scavenger and Condensate Treat (or Condensate Control) to neutralise acids in the condensate system.
Dosed directly into the boiler via a by-pass pot feeder in the feed line. If P-alkalinity is persistently low, top up with Alkalinity Control.
Initial dose for an untreated system is 1 L per 1000 L of water. Maintenance dosing is set by P-alkalinity test results, using Vecom boiler water test kits — note that phosphate/alkalinity readings don't always line up exactly with the control levels, and poor-quality feedwater may need a higher dose.
Usually supplied in 25 L plastic cans.
