Prevents crystal growth and scale formation in evaporators.
A specially formulated liquid compound with neutral acid sequestering inhibiting agents that prevent scale build-up in evaporators. Used in both high- and low-pressure evaporators to prevent foaming, carry-over and scale formation.
Dilute in fresh water and feed continuously into the evaporator feedwater line, or directly into the evaporator shell, using a dosing tank with flow meter and eductor, or a metering pump system.
Recommended rate is 25 mL per tonne of distillate — e.g. a 40-tonne-per-day evaporator uses about 1 L daily. Solution strength and feed rate should be calculated for continuous feeding, and brine density should not exceed roughly 1.038 g/cm³.
