Field titration kit for total water hardness. Range 0–30 ppm.
Measures total hardness (mainly calcium and magnesium carbonates) in any water system, range 0–30 ppm. High hardness causes scaling and increases soap consumption.
Take a sample sized for the expected range. Add 4 drops of TH2, then 3 drops of TH5. Count drops of TH3 added until the sample turns pure blue.
Not applicable — this is a titration test kit. Result (ppm) = number of drops × the sample-size (SS) factor.
