The Vecom Marine presentation on oil spill prevention and control have highlighted the endeavors and goals of the Philippine Coast Guard oil spill response thru the National Oil Spill Contingency Plan due to the alarming rate of oil spill incidents happening in the Philippines in the recent decades. Vecom Marine General Manager, on his follow-up to the presentation, have also stressed the law, Presidential Decrees and Memorandum Circulars, the needs or the mandatory requirement of having these Oil Spill Kits and dispersant on-board each commercial vessel both local and international. The role of the PCGA as per the memorandum agreement with the Philippine Coast Guard was also discussed particularly on their role and participation in vessel inspection. The oil spill kits/equipment were part of the checklist and requirements for strict compliance in order to preserve our natural resources specially the seas in combating and prevention of further damage that may arise due or caused by oil spill.

The Marketing Campaign was considered to be a success. A lot of members in the squadron requested for company brochures and company contact details for their further consultation of the product information and the need of these products in their Company.
